I would like to thank you for bringing attention to these wonderful animals to the United States. After seeing them in Europe, I felt that I had found the perfect companion. I didn't realize that it would be so hard to find one over here. We have since adopted a two year old Russian Spaniel that is every bit as great as I remembered. We're not sure if she is pure bred or not, (though she has papers), but she's very special to us! It's nice to meet other people smitten with these wonderful animals. Thank you again!!

Schatzi
My grandparents had a cocker spaniel while I was growing up and I adored her, that was until my brother and his wife gave me Schatzi as a college graduation gift. I wouldn't trade her for the world-always full of energy, social and never in a bad mood. She melts the heart of anyone who is around.

i love your wedsite and your dogs. They would be a perfect pet for our family. Too bad their aren't a lot or no Russian Spaniel breeders on the east coast.

Interested in hearing from N.A. owners about your experiences in training your female, how long it took, how she does on car trips, and does she stay by your side inside house, and are their any male cats in your household?

Researching
Hello, I am currently researching breeds in order to determine which one will best fit in our family. I have three daughters, the oldest being 6 and the youngest 3. Our current family dog is a Lhasa Apso and is approaching 15 years. His age is obvious in his walk and his hearing and eyesight are failing. I hope to have decided upon a suitable replacement as our daughters will miss him dearly when the time comes. In researching breeds, various Spaniels seem to meet my criteria of patience, trainability, loyalty, calmness in demeanor, affection towards children, and ease of travel. Sam, our Lhasa Apso, used to be an indoor dog until incontinence and irritability set in. Our next addition will be an indoor dog as well. I came upon your website while reading information about Russian Spaniels. If we decided this breed is the one for us, can we find certified pups in the U.S. or is Russia the only route? Thank you.

Just getting started
Dear RSC - I will be getting married in February to a lady and daughter from Omsk. The 10 year old daughter has requested a Russian Spaniel, and based on what I have read, it will be perfect for our lives. I have been thinking about trying to locate a puppy around June of 2006 in order to allow the daughter and puppy to bond over the summer. Thanks for all the great information on this apparently wonderful breed. Kevin N. Carpenter
