Anna (or anyone else in the "know") - Could you explain what the  Field Diplomas listed under the names of the dam & sire mean?  I've never quite known if it's better to be higher or lower, and what the distinction is.

In Russia, every time a dog participates in a field event, he/she is graded on the scale 0-100. If a dog earns less then 60 points, no diploma is awarded.

60-69 points = III

70-79 point = II

80+ points = I

Dogs are graded on smell, speed and correctness of the search, approach and flash, stile, persistency, retrieve, obedience. A slightly different grading table is used in waterfowl events.
