What would you all think about inviting a breed expert from Russia to evaluate our dogs? How much would you be willing to pay for the registration at the RSC Dog Show if we used that money to bring in one of the best judges?

Can you give us a general figure of the cost of the judge, his transportations, accomadations, and all that would be included? I dont mind kicking in however, i feel that if its above my budget then i maynot make the meeting, depending on how far we have to travel and the accomadations and board. The idea of a judge is fine with me, would this be like a show rather than meeting? Would we need an experienced dog handler? What would the judge be looking for as far as fielding standards?

Dear Anna,

I would very much appreciate having a judge critique my Nikalena.  I don't know what others would consider, but I could go between $50 and $100.

Hi! I know that the price of airline tickets during summer months is around $1000. Plus visa fee $100. Most probably somebody can host the judge in their house. The worst for the decent hotel is going to be $100 per night but could be less. We also should pay for a job. I am pretty sure that it is not going to be more then $750 to 1000. May be less. Depending on the expert. In the worst possible scenario it could be $3000. If 10 dogs are present it will make it $300 per dog. But again it could be less. It would be better to have at least 20 dogs. It is also probably fare to hold first meet in Maryland or DC where one of the founders ofthe club lives. If you look at other breeds clubs the price is not bad at all. We also should start collecting some membership dues. As I understand it is usually around 35-45 per year. So that Anna can do legal paperwork for the club and we can start working on the club's pedigrees. So far everything has been on Anna's and Lisa's sheer enthusiasm and their own money. It is also possible to have different levels of memberships. And I am pretty sure that nobody will be banned from the club or exibitions based on money. The goal for the club is to keep the breed. Please, let us know how much you can contribute to bringing the judge. If you don't feel comfortable posting it on forum, you can e-mail it to Anna or to me at tmouravskaia_1999@yahoo.com.

By the way, Tatiana Mouravskaia has graciously agreed to assist RSC with a few things for a while, one of which will be contacting all members on our behalf about this upcoming meeting. She is waiting on a puppy from Char-Deyk/Dzherri litter from Moscow, so while her little girl is getting ready to make the trip across the ocean, Tatiana taking some load off mine and Liz's shoulders. THANK YOU!!!

If anyone is willing to contribute time and effort (or maybe even some computer talents?) to RSC, we will be very greatful!
